How Australia is getting more serious about Quantum Computing

In recent years countries all over the world have been focusing their efforts to accelerate their Quantum computing efforts including Israel, Japan, China, Canada and others.
Now is seems in later 2022, Australia is making a serious commitment to do the same.
On August 31st, 2022 the Tech Council of Australia (TCA) announced the formation of the Australian Quantum Alliance (AQA) to promote the voice of Australia’s quantum industry.
As Quantum Insider points out, according to a Tech Council of Australia LinkedIn post published this week, the research is incredibly important to help identify where Australia has a global comparative advantage in the tech sector and how the Council can strengthen it.

Their vision is for a thriving quantum industry in Australia that enables innovation, jobs and economic prosperity.
According to the Tech Council of Australia: As one of Australia’s leading technology sub-sectors, quantum technology is uniquely placed to offer the most innovative solutions to the world.

For its population, Australia is doing alright in Quantum computing I suppose. For instance, QuintessenceLabs out of Canberra, is a Quantum cybersecurity company. Also in Canberra, we have Quantum Brilliance Founded in 2019.
