Hey Guys,

So the importance of Quantum computing is being pushed at the Government level, now it’s trickled down into Venture Capital and BigTech promoting it like IBM, Google, Microsoft and big partnerships.

Unfortunately when Quantum computing startups make outlandish promises about the scalability of quantum computers, the hype becomes a self-perpetuating disaster and bad for science. In this article, I’m going to try to frame why this is, and why it continues in the early 2020s.

I am getting a little bit annoyed by the misinformation we are perpetuating here in some of our misguided and biased enthusiasm, evangelism and PR that doesn’t service the truth, but serves a profit motive. In my humble Newsletter, I admit I’m guilty to this as well. I am still angered at times, by what I read.

In this rant, I’m going to explain why that is.
