The Great Intrigue of Quantum
Collaboration, investment, stealth acquisition and the lines between
Hey Guys,
I’m thrilled about the recent Qunnect Series A, it’s only $8 million but says a lot about the web of collaboration and intrigue around the future of computing computing. Let’s take a short tour:
The round was led by Airbus Ventures.
Quantonation, SandboxAQ, NY Ventures, Impact Science Ventures and Motus Ventures also participated in the round.
A Leading Quantum Internet Technologies Startup
They are now fully out of stealth with 6 first of their kind quantum devices, all built for scalable quantum networking protocols such as entanglement distribution, quantum repeating, and distributed quantum sensing/computing.
The company is focused on the development of quantum internet technologies, specifically quantum-secure networking technology designed for scalable deployment on existing telecom fiber infrastructure.
Founded in 2017, Qunnect innovates and commercializes the core technologies needed for scalable quantum-safe communication. In 2021, the company released the world’s first quantum memory which operates without extreme cooling or vacuum support. It serves as the cornerstone to Qunnect’s Quantum Repeater product suite, The company is headquartered in the Brooklyn Navy Yard in New York City. Five years is pretty mature compared to some of their quantum computing peers.
I have some rather surprising thoughts on the fate of Qunnect in the big picture.
