Hey Everyone,

There are some signs in 2022 that India is bound to play a larger role in Quantum computing.

Tech Mahindra is an Indian multinational information technology services and consulting company. It has nearly 160,000 employees and it’s new MoU is worthy of noting.

Let’s review the PR and see if it sounds legit. Tech Mahindra, a leading provider of digital transformation, consulting, and business re-engineering services and solutions, and IQM Quantum Computers, a European leader in quantum computers, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for research in quantum computing. The organizations will explore synergies in mutually beneficial areas of quantum computing, cryptography, and communication technologies.

Announcing our MoU with Tech Mahindra. A significant milestone for the journey that we started earlier this year with @nickmalhotra and this is just the beginning! A special shoutout to the Business Finland team who made this possible. meetiqm.com/articles/press…

IQM Quantum Computers is one of the hottest European startups (founded in 2018), that has already become a European leader in record time.

I for one never knew there was an Indo-Finnish bilateral context in Quantum research, well there you go! Once you put your ears to the ground it’s incredible all of the collaboration that is taking place.

As part of the partnership, the organizations will jointly develop new quantum computing offerings for various industries including healthcare, cyber security, and banking, among others. They will further co-develop and market quantum technology use cases in India and Finland.

  • Cybersecurity

  • Banking

  • Uses cases in both India and Finland
