Quantum Source having a Bright Seed Round
Photonic quantum computing startup Quantum Source extends Seed round to $27 million
Hey Everyone!
I was delighted to see that this $12 million extension from Dell Technologies Capital makes it one of the largest Seed rounds for Quantum Computing.
Quantum Source, an Israel-based company developing the technology needed to bring photonic quantum computers to market. For me personally, photonic startups make the most sense for scalable quantum computers. I find it the most viable qubit approach for scalability and an elegant solution.
There is a reason PsiQuantum was able to raise so much.
Integrated quantum photonics, uses photonic integrated circuits to control photonic quantum states for applications in quantum technologies. As such, integrated quantum photonics provides a promising approach to the miniaturisation and scaling up of optical quantum circuits.
If you have read me before, you know how bullish I am about Israeli tech startups, and the Quantum domain is no different. These people know how to scale startups. Tel Aviv is per capita some of the most entrepreneurial and innovative folk on the planet.
So this $12 million Seed extension round was led by Dell Technologies Capital (DTC), with participation from 10D as well as existing investors Eclipse VC, Grove Ventures, and Pitango. This recent extension brings the total Seed round to $27 million - making it one of the largest Seed financings in Quantum Computing.
