A startup company has upped its qubit count by an order of magnitude in two years. What’s going on? Yep, we are talking about Atom Computing.

They claim to have a mission to build scalable quantum computers with atomic arrays of optically-trapped neutral atoms.

Drum roll if you please? 1,180 qubits and counting!
