Hey Everyone,
I thought more consolidation was going to take place in 2024 and lo’ and behold Infleqtion is making more acquisitions. This will be a short note on it, nothing major but still in the spirit of the times. This acquisition occurred on January 29th, 2024.
Infleqtion acquired SiNoptiq Inc. and Morton Photonics Inc., two silicon photonics companies that bring with them more than 40 patents and product portfolios. Infleqtion is becoming one of the major players in Quantum computing out of the Colorado area.
The integration of chip-scale lasers, photonics and atomic systems will enable breakthroughs in the size, weight, power, and capabilities of quantum products including clocks, sensors and quantum computers. Paul Lipman and the team will now be actively working with Daniel Blumenthal, Paul Morton and Jill Morton.
Quantum Insider reported that the companies officials said the acquisitions enable Infleqtion to expedite plans for chip-scale integration of lasers and photonic and atomic systems.
Ultimately, the move aims to commercialize quantum products, such as sensors and quantum computers, as well as bolster the overall quantum supply chain.
