Hey Everyone,
What will the software tools of the quantum era look like? Back in June, 2020 Horizon Quantum based in Singapore raised $3 Million, nearly three years later they are raising another $18 million.
You guessed it, this is a series A. The Series A investment comes from Sequoia India, Tencent, SGInnovate, Pappas Capital and Expeditions Fund. Even TechNode and Tech in Asia covered them, which interests me.
The investment round will boost the growth of the company, allowing it to strengthen its science and engineering teams to accelerate product development, establish its new engineering centre in Europe and bring Horizon’s unique technology to the market.
This is yet another startup working on the hybrid reality of conventional and quantum computers in the future working together. Based in Singapore, Horizon Quantum Computing (website) aims to make programming of quantum computers accessible and efficient for conventional computers today.
Singapore is an interesting place for technology these days as its a hub that connects both East and West. For instance, just look at their plans:
Founded in 2018, Horizon Quantum Computing is also planning to open its first European office in Ireland with a new engineering centre to expand global operations.
How will we program quantum applications in the future?
So let’s get a bit deeper into it:
