Even as the U.S. signs a collaboration agreement with South Korea on Quantum computing, there is a sense that Quantum startups will have to be creative to get more funding.
Guess what IonQ did recently? They announced an agreement with the United Arab Emirates Quantum Research Center Technology institute. The contract will provide engineers, computer scientists, and physicists with direct access to IonQ Aria system for quantum algorithm experimentation.
Quantum computing always feels a bit stuck in the National Defense and geopolitical spectrum of national allegiances, teams, strategy and global change. Itβs becoming a bit like technological game of thrones.
This perhaps wasnβt the most exciting week in Quantum computing, but geopolitically there were some intriguing developments and some buzz in photonics as well.
