A Brilliant Future of Australia Quantum Startups
Quantum Brilliance announce latest funding round of AU$26 million
Hey Everyone,
So it turns out the $500 million for Sandbox AQ was their original “nine-figure” funding amount, nothing new just an update. Very confusing announcement nearly a year later on them spinning off.
But moving on Quantum Brilliance is hitting the big-time. Startup Quantum Brilliance GmbH, which is building miniaturized quantum computers that can operate at normal room temperatures, said today it has closed on an $18 million round of funding. This puts their total funding at nearly $30 million, according to Crunchbase.
They build room temperature quantum computers, powered by diamond, which will provide ubiquitous quantum computing. That does sound brilliant mate, Aussie - Aussie - Aussie! But really.
Quantum Brilliance’s quantum computers use synthetic diamonds to operate at room temperature in any environment, from data centers to mobile devices to autonomous vehicles to spacecraft. Quantum Brilliance’s devices do not require cryogenics, vacuum systems and precision laser arrays, meaning the company’s technology consumes significantly less power and can be deployed on site or at the edge.
